Large rectangular vessel with organic top edge by Kai Yasui. Original clay and sand mix stoneware woodfired at Ocean Ridge Kiln. This is a unique piece which has a natural ash glaze from the firing process making it a functional vase. This artwork commands attention with its powerful block like form. Here you can see Yasui-san was often influenced by the lines and geometry found in Art Deco design.
